Oritsegbubemi Ejeye is a talented Nollywood actress and model who was born on June 29, 1995. Gbubemi Ejeye is her professional name.

She is a Houdegbe North American University Law graduate who has appeared in numerous successful short films, online series, drama series, TV series, and feature-length films.

Gbubemi Ejeye played Adufe in the Netflix Original Drama Series Far From Home in 2022.


Early Life

Gbubemi Ejeye was born into Mr. and Mrs. Ejeye’s family. On June 29, 1995, she was born in a private hospital in Lagos City.

Her formative years were spent in a middle-class neighborhood in Lagos State. Gbubemi Ejeye was born in Lagos but is originally from the South-South region. She is an Itsekiri girl from Delta State.

Gbubemi Ejeye longed to be a lawyer as a young child and worked hard in school to reach this aim. She learned she had a talent for acting as she grew older. Participating in school plays and musicals sparked my passion in performing. Her passion for acting eventually trumped her desire to practice law.


Gbubemi Ejeye comes from a middle-class household and was fortunate enough to obtain a good formal education.

She received her basic and secondary studies at prestigious private schools in Lagos. She graduated from high school in 2010 with good SSCE results.

Gbubemi Ejeye was then admitted to Houdegbe North American University in the Republic of Benin. In 2015, she graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the university.


Gbubemi Ejeye returned to Nigeria after finishing her undergraduate studies to observe the required National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program. She began working in the media industry after completing the program.

Her acting career began in November 2018 when she appeared in Color Me Pink, a stage production at Terra Kulture. The stage drama dealt with breast cancer. Her triumph on stage cleared the path for her to enter the Nollywood industry.

Gbubemi Ejeye began auditioning for film roles in Lagos and was cast in several of these films. She has worked on feature films, short films, web series, drama series, and television programs over the years. Rickety, Oga Pastor, Disruption, Jumbled, The Waitress, When Ex’s Meet, Daughters, The Catalyst, Who’s The Perp, Come To My House, What Women Want, The Matron, and Physical Evidence are a few notable mentions.

Gbubemi Ejeye portrayed Eniola in the Second Season of the Ndani TV Web Series Game On in 2022. She joined the cast of AM Covenant in September 2022, playing the character Talia. She rose to international prominence for her performance in the Netflix Original Drama series Far From Home. In the series, she plays the role of Adufe.

Mike Afolarin, Tomi Ojo, Raymond Umenze, Genoveva Umeh, Ruby Okezie (Ruby Precious Okezie), Emeka Nwagbaraocha, Olumide Oworu, and Natse Jemide have all appeared in Gbubemi Ejeye’s films.

In 2023, it was revealed that Gbubemi Ejeye had been cast in MTV Shuga Naija Season 5, which would air later that year.
