Mavins Records musician from Nigeria with extraordinary skill, Rema has released a brand-new, exhilarating song titled “Reason You.”

Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, is a Nigerian musician and rapper who was born on May 1, 2000. He secured a record deal with Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, in 2019. He gained to notoriety after his song “Iron Man” was included on Barack Obama’s 2019 summer playlist. Rema was born in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, into a highly spiritual Christian family. Rema grew up singing and rapping in high school. In Edo State, he attended primary and high school.

Rema made a viral freestyle to D’Prince’s “Gucci Gang” in 2018. D’Prince was drawn to the ad and flew him to Lagos to offer him a record deal. Rema secured a record deal with D’Prince’s Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, in 2019 and immediately began recording. In 2019, he released his self-titled first EP Rema. For months, it was number one on Apple Music Nigeria.

Rema won Next Rated and was nominated for Viewer’s Choice at the 13th edition of The Headies on October 19, 2019. On January 12, 2020, he was awarded the Souncity MVP award for Best New Artist. Rema was nominated for Best Viewers Choice: Foreign Artist at the 2020 BET Awards on June 15, 2020. He was nominated alongside Burna Boy and Wizkid for the awards, making them the only Nigerian artists nominated for the 2020 edition.

Also, this recently published song is from his recently released 2-track album, “Holiday and Reason You.”

Because of the plethora of talents rising from the streets, we’ve witnessed a lot of breakthroughs for most of the new musicians that join the market using freestyle videos to demonstrate what they’ve got in store for us.

Following previously released tracks, the well-enchanted song is the most recent entrance this year.

You should add the fantastic record “Reason You” to your repertoire. Nevertheless, it serves as Rema’s most recent single for 2023.

Hopefully, the widespread acceptance of this record will propel the Afro-classic crooner to new heights.
