In the Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State, at least three people who were thought to be political thugs have been killed.

According to information obtained by DAILY POST, thugs broke into polling places 026 and 004 in Gboko South while voting was still taking place and tried to steal ballot boxes and the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System, or BVAS.

Moses Agure-Dam, an eyewitness who corroborated the news to DAILY POST, claimed that military officers shot and killed the thugs.

He declared, “The thugs broke into the polling places and messed up the election. They numbered three, and one of them attempted to steal the BVAS while the other two attempted to steal ballot boxes.

The nearby soldiers immediately opened fire on them, killing them all.

The DAILY POST was unsuccessful in getting in touch with DSP Catherine Anene, the public relations officer for the Benue State Police.
