Mason Mount, a midfielder for Chelsea, has acknowledged that he will not meet the objectives he set before the 2022–23 season began.

As a Chelsea player, Mount said that this season has been difficult for him.

The England international had a significant role in Chelsea teams coached by Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel.

But, since being hired by manager Graham Potter in September of last year, he has not been as extensively featured.

The 24-year-old is currently locked in a standoff over an extension to his current deal at Chelsea, which is set to expire next year, in addition to his problems to establish form and consistency.

“It’s been difficult, but I believe that a season like this can teach you a lot and help you grow. Perhaps I won’t succeed in my resolutions from the start of the year, Mount told Matches Fashion.

“You consider it in terms of: Why did it occur? How can I change that for the upcoming year? How can I improve? There are still several left, and maybe another contest to try and win.
