Michael Owen, a former striker for Manchester United, thinks Bukayo Saka of Arsenal can challenge Erling Haaland of Manchester City for the Premier League Player of the Year honor.

Saka and Haaland have both been in excellent form, assisting their respective clubs in their quest to win the league this season.

With one more game played, Arsenal presently leads Man City by eight points at the top of the standings.

When asked if Saka could defeat Haaland for the Premier League Player of the Year title after Arsenal’s weekend victory over Crystal Palace, Owen said to Premier League Productions: “He (Saka) would 100% be in the debate. It appears to be Haaland, the ninth place you mentioned.

“He is going to score more goals this season than almost any other player in Premier League history,” a source said.

Nonetheless, Saka is unquestionably among the top three when it comes to commenting about other players.
