“Naija to the world…I’m so proud”- Femi Branch on being the voice behind the villain in the Disney cartoon, Iwaju

Legendary Nigerian actor Femi Branch recently stirred up controversy on social media with a statement on the animated Disney series Iwaju.

Branch said on Instagram that he is the voice of the well-known antagonist from the movie Iwaju.

He made public a video in which he recorded himself speaking at a Disney location. Femi Branch is renowned for both his expressive demeanor and baritone voice.


Despite playing the antagonist in the movie, Branch gained a lot of fans by bringing his natural sense of humor to his evil persona.

One of Nigeria’s first animated series, the Disney-produced movie has quickly become well-liked by kids.

In addition to Femi Branch, notable Nigerian performers on Iwaju include Simisola Gbademosi, Dayo Okeniyi, Siji Soetan, and Weruche Opia.
